    https://outwestcoffee.com.au/index.php/2019…-ecam-3-110-sb/

    ENGLISH

    Hi!

I do not understand German, I am using google translate and am sorry if it sounds a bit funny.

My Delonghi ESAM 6900 M Primadonna Exclusive has once again failed.

There is no power when it is plugged into the power socket.

I have followed this advice to replace the three failing components.
    https://outwestcoffee.com.au/index.php/2019…-ecam-3-110-sb/

When the components were replaced, the machine turned on and worked like usual.

But after leaving it for some time, I come back to find it is no longer working.

Something keeps killing the 364GN Power Supply chip as when I replace it it starts working again, but fails after around 20 minutes.

Is there something else I should have a look at?

Could something else be at fault?

You mean the Hall sensor that counts the revelations of the motor (little pcb under the motor), not the Reed switch for the water level in the tank.

    So.

    -------------------ENGLISH

    Hi,

My delonghi is once again not working.
When the machine is starting up, the infuser clicks the bottom limit switch but does not make it to the top switch resulting in insert infuser assembly error.

It seems that the water level sensor is not counting enough magnet revolutions to tell the motor to move 1 mm up to click the switch.

The switch in the yellow plastic assembly is not getting clicked,

If in special menu, general alarm error is present when the infuser clicks the top limit switch.

    what could be wrong?

Is the motor out of phase with the sensor?

    Problem solved.

I opened the door and pressed the limit switch to see what is happening inside.

I noticed the water was overflowing from the yellow plastic boiler assembly and dripping down the side of the machine to the drip tray.

    When i removed the boiler I found a broken gasket ring 8.1mm x 1.8mm.

After replacing it, the problem is now gone.

Hello, I have apparently had another problem with my problematic machine.

Everything worked well and suddenly the machine began to complain about the Infuser.

Thereafter, all the water from the rinse cycle is passed directly to the drip tray.

Even the brewed coffee is poured directly into the drip tray. This machine has been working well all the time, it seems to be exactly the same as another machine.

If you point the infuser to the upper limit switch during the load test, the message GENERAL ALARM will be displayed

This machine was working the whole time, it seems to be having the same problem as another machine.

Homing the infuser in power load menu gives a GENERAL ALARM message when the infuser reaches the top limit switch.

Presumably, the brass nut is worn by the drive of the brew group and the brew group is pushed out of position. Bridge over the door, illuminate the interior well and make a small Handyfilmchen that you z. B. uploads to Youtube.

I've just checked the entire engine assembly, the brass nut is fine. I tightened the threaded rod to remove minor movements.

    The problem is still there.

Every time I fix something on this machine, another problem occurs - the machine has to be cursed, hehe.

The machine brewed well and now the entire water / coffee mixture runs directly into the drip tray.

Was könnte ich versuchen?

    -----------------------ENGLISH

Hi, I have run into a small issue with my machine which I managed to repair.
The machine was working fine and suddenly started stopped rinsing and now keeps saying insert infuser.

I have managed to trace the issue down to the hall sensor which is triggered by magnets in the larger gear.

I noticed when the motor if homing to the top limit switch it is about 1-2mm short of reaching the switch.

If i remove the hall sensor cable during homing and reconnect it, I get to the normal menu and can brew a coffee and the switch is engaged as normal.

If I access the power load test, I get General Problem when the top limit switch is reached and pressed by the assembly.

it seems there is a timing issue with the hall sensor.

Is there a way to reset the hall sensor?

What could I try to do?

I fixed the problem. What's ok, but what's not power to flow to the triac.A tiny drop of solder and the grinder engine are working now.

Thank you Roland for your help!

I have fixed the issue. These was a small scratch on the circuit board exposing copper which looked fine but was not allowing current to flow to the triac.
A tiny drop of solder and the grinder motor now works.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ENGLISH
I just managed to access the power load test. The coffee grinder does not turn on when the button is pressed or when HIPOT test is run.
EV3 does not make a click noise in Power load test like EV1 or EV2 but seems to make a silent click in HIPOT.
Steamer, chocolate jug, pump do not make any noise or movement (steamer and pump do work).

Schematics of this board can be found here: https://saeco-support-forum.de/threads/schalt…m-26-455.55442/

You're happy that only U1 was blown, mostly more parts are blown at the same time (R55, L1).

If I understand correctly, everything works except for the grinder? Although it runs if connected directly to mains? Al other functions work well in test-mode?
As you can see in the schematics, the grinder (connector F7) is switched on by triac TY3.
    So you'd better check TY3 and R107.

    Hello, thanks for the answer!
Yes, everything seems to work except the mill. It actually works when connected directly to the mains. Can I get a message on screen in test mode?TEST MODE for about 15 seconds and then returns to CLOSE FRONT DOOR.I have tested the following components with a multimeter with the components still soldered on.TY3 - MT1 (-) and MT2 (+) MT2 bypasses with GATE (same result with polarity change, same results as TY5). Therefore, it is most likely not damaged if it has not been completely removed from the motherboard.R107 reads 68 ohms.R55 reads 48k ohms (as on the working board).L1 reads 12.8 ohms (as on the working board). These tests were performed on still soldered components.Do you need to remove it to check it properly? If not, what else could the problems cause? (I'm still learning, so it does not help to just look at schematics). Many Thanks!

-------------------------------------------------------ENGLISH VERSION (I know many Germans can read/speak English
Hi, Thank you for the reply!

Yes everything seems to be working except the grinder. It does indeed run when connected directly to mains voltage.
When I am in test mode, should I get a message on screen that a test is being performed?
For me the screen only displays TEST MODE for about 15 seconds and then returns to CLOSE FRONT DOOR.

I have tested the following components using a multi-meter with the components still soldered on.

TY3 - MT1 (-) and MT2 (+) no reading unless MT2 bridged with GATE (same result when polarity changed, same results as TY5) so it's most likely not damaged, unless it must be removed from the main board to test thoroughly.

    R107 reads 68 Ohm.

R55 reads 48k ohm (same like on working board).

L1 reads 12.8 ohm (same like on working board).

These tests were done with components still soldered on.

Must any be removed to check properly?

If not, anything else which could be causing the issues? (I am still learning, so just looking at schematics isn't going to help me).

    Thanks!

Hello, sorry, if the language is not good (google translate), since I can not speak German, only English.
I have a machine that I bought for parts that had a blown component (LNK364GN 7 pins). After replacing the component, each function started to work.So the pump has to be replaced. With the exception of the coffee grinder, everything works on the coffee square is switched on.I tested the grinder with mains voltage and it works. So the TEST MODE screen is closed again and nothing happens with an option. If the TEST MODE works this way or if it is selected, the user is prompted with a new message.Maybe there is someone who knows electronics to identify the problem with the motherboard.Maybe relay or transistor blown?
