Hello all. My friend has a Magnifica Evo Latte ECAM 290 84 SB which was leaking from a seal in the upper brew piston assembly which he chose to replace entirely.
When installing he could not locate where to re-attach the drain hose.
In my Magnifica experience it attaches to a “spigot” type fitting at the top of the expansion chamber. But he assures me he does not have a “spigot”
He seems to think the tube fits into a guide that places it above the grounds tray. Which would be quite a change in waste water removal design. The parts diagram and spares listing states the tube as same length as previous models.
I checked the Delonghi parts website diagram and it clearly shows it connects as expected. He is not near me and I have not had my hands on an Evo.
Have any of you heard or know about this possible model variation? Any information appreciated.
