Turns out that I *did* have to do the manual decalcification process that takes place through the secret test menu: Put the 3200 in the secret menu (turn it on while pressing 1 cup and flush), then press the 1 cup to bring the group to the upper position, then do a complete MANUAL decalc by filling up the water pot with the decalc / water fluid mix and intermittently flushing water through.   • Unfortunately, that's not it either - I inspected the black tube while the thermo block was out, "just in case", and there was no blocking... but thanks for the suggestion. Is it possible that somehow I didn't clean the thermo block well enough? I took it apart and actually physically blew into all the pipes to ensure they're not clogged... is there any way I can test the water flow from the pump to the thermo block to the coffee "puck"?

  • Hallo Stefan, sarcasm aside, I did the entire thermoblock removal. There was no limescale deposits anywhere that I could see. Any other suggestions?

  • Stefan, thank you for your answer. do you believe it's a limescale blockage in the thermal unit, even though the water comes HOT out of the hot water spout (but does NOT come out of the coffee drip)? I don't have a problem cleaning things, but I'd rather avoid unnecessary action.

  • Hi all, (sorry for English - my German is not as good) our ESAM 3200.S developed a problem and now does not make any coffee. At first, a few days ago, it started dripping coffee very slowly and it took a very long time to produce. Now, it's stopped making any coffee at all and instead all the water that was supposed to go to the coffee drip, comes out of the hot water spout instead.
